5-12-17- 1st Lee- We began discussing Ch. 22 over Latin America. Students have a worksheet they are working on about different facts concerning Latin America. We worked on this together as a class to help fill this out.

5-8-17- 1st Lee- Passed back the Cold War Test from Thursday and Friday. We then looked over an assignment they will be working on over the next couple of days where students will be making a powerpoint presentation over events of the Cold War.

2-23-17- 1st Lee- Went over some of the 19.2 questions they had to do then watched more video on D-Day invasion. As they watch the video they have to come up with the obstacles the Allies had to overcome in WWII. Homework was to write a paragraph on some of these obstacles.
2-22-17- 1st Lee- Checked and went over the additional questions students had to do in the 19.2 packet. Finished last part of guided notes over 19.2, students following along as we go.

11-4-16- 1st Lee- Continued the notes worksheet they started the other day. Going over it as a class. We then went over the chapter and the key things we have went over in the chapter. Students were then informally quizzed over the chapter as an initial review for the test that is coming up on Tuesday, students writing down study questions as they go to serve as a mini study guide.
11-2-16- 1st Lee- Continued with 13.3 notes and discussion. Students then had a 13.3 worksheet to start in class and anything left is homework. We finished about 1/2 in class
11-1-16- 1st Lee- Checked the question students had from last night and went over them. Students then had a couple of questions to answer in class and then we went over them in class as a group. We then began discussion and guided notes over 13.3.
10-31-16-1st Lee- Checked the Industrialization chart from Friday. We then went over the rest of that chart worksheet as a class. Students then were asked to answer 3 questions in class using their book: 1. Explain main idea of quote on pg. 420, 2. Explain multiple reasons why the birthrate declined as the 1800’s progressed, and 3. Compare the map on 423 to the map on 417, what relationships can you draw? Students were given about 20 minutes to get those done and then we discussed them in class. Homework is the a 4th question: What was a direct reason why mass media developed during the late 1800’? Some indirect reasons?
10-27-16- 1st Lee- Finished group work from yesterday in the first 5 minutes. Groups then reported back to us what they found for the questions they were assigned.
10-26-16- 1st Lee- Checked the rest of the worksheet over 419-421 reading. We then had group work over a few questions. Whatever is left is for homework.

10-10-16- 1st Lee- Turned in paragraph they had for homework. We then continued notes over Industrial revolution and watched a short video clip on the correlation of life expectancy and income back during this time.
10-7-16- 1st Lee- Began to go over 12.1 guided notes that students began to fill out yesterday during class work. Homework is one paragraph of their choosing over topics on notes.

10-5-16- 1st Lee- Pulled students to take their French Revolution Test. I reviewed with them before they took the test.
9-29-16- 1st Lee- Worked on a worksheet from 11.3 over Napoleon Bonaparte. Students working in groups to work on this and finish it in class.
9-28-16- 1st Lee- We worked on a worksheet together as a class over a timeline of Napoleon’s career or leadership. We finished that in class together, served as another set of notes
9-27-16- 1st Lee- Checked and went over the section 2 questions that we did together in class yesterday. Started 11.3 notes (guided notes), where students just fill in the blanks.
9/26/16- 1st Lee- Checked and went over pg. 358, 1-6. We then had 3 questions that the students had to answer from section 2 of ch. 11
5/24/16- 2nd Hipp- Pulled students to continue reviewing for their upcoming final exam. We went through old tests and what questions they need to study for the exam.
5/23/16- 2nd Hipp- Collected “Journeys with George” questions from the video we had watched (it is for extra credit). We then began getting materials together for their upcoming final exam. I pulled students to help them with this. They are getting tests, notes, and study guides together for them to study.
5/16/16- 2nd Hipp- Began project presentations over Middle East and African countries. Students also filled out a Peer Evaluation Sheet to rate their group members contribution to the group and the project. Got through 3 of them, will finish the rest tomorrow.
5/12/16 2nd Hipp- continued projects
5/10/16- 2nd Hipp- I started the project on African/Middle /Eastern countries. I explained the directions and outline for the project. Students have the next 4 days to work on it.
5/9/16- 2nd Hipp- Pulled students out to take their Ch. 23 test (read aloud and modified). They also had a folder check that I did before we took the test.
5/5/16- 2nd Hipp- Checked and went over 23.2 SQ (all had it). We then finished last slide of notes for 23.2. After that students had 2 vocabulary sheets to work on, I pulled students out to work on this and we finished it in class.
5/4/16- 2nd Hipp- I checked and went over 23.2 GR (all had it) We then continued notes for 23.2 and then students had time to work on 23.2 SQ that was assigned. I pulled students to work on this and we finished this in class.
5/3/16- 2nd Hipp- Continued notes on 23.2 (students have them). We then had time for 23.2 GR and I pulled students out to work on this and we finished it in class.
5/2/16- 2nd Hipp- I Checked and went over 23.1 SQ (all had it done). We then started 23.2 notes (I provided notes to my students).
3/15/16- 2nd Hipp- traded and grade 21.3 GR (all had it). We then finished 21.3 notes and then started 21.3 SQ which they had time to work on in class. I walked around and helped where needed. Homework is 21.4 GR, no time to work on in class.
3/14/16- 2nd Hipp- I checked and went over 21.2 SQ (all had it). Ms. Hipp then passed out Ch. 21 study guides (I will hand out mine closer to the test which is Friday). We then started notes and discussion over 21.3 (I provided notes to my students).
3/10/16- 2nd Hipp- I went over and checked 21.2 GR/SQ. We then started 21.2 notes (students already have their notes). Passed back Ch. 20 test. Homework is 21.2 SQ that students got with 5 minutes left in class, no time to work on this
3/9/16- 2nd Hipp- I checked and went over 21.1 SQ (all had it). I also gave them the two maps they are to be working (one of former Soviet Union and one of current map of Europe). Students need to identify which country goes where, they can use any resource they have.
3/8/16- 2nd Hipp- Checked and went over 21.1 GR (all had it done). We then continued notes and discussion over 21.1 that we started yesterday. Homework was 21.1 SQ, no time to work on in class.

3/3/16- 2nd Hipp- Traded and graded the Ch. 20 content vocabulary worksheet that was homework (all had it done). I then pulled students out to review for their Ch. 20 test. They had a study guides for a week at least, but I provided them with answers to possible short answers they will see.
3/2/16- 2nd Hipp- I continued our web quest over the Cuban Missile Crisis. Students had about half of it to finish today and then we went over it as a class. Homework is ch. 20 content vocabulary worksheet that was given to them at the end of class.
3/1/16- 2nd- I led the lesson on webquest over Cuban Missile Crisis. Watched a short video on the crisis and then explained the webquest and how they should fill it out.
2/29/16- 2nd Hipp- TEST IS FRIDAY!! They received Ms. Hipp’s study guide (I will also provide mine in the past couple of days. Checked and went over 20.3 GR that was homework from Friday. We then continued notes and discussion over 20.3 (students already have their notes). Homework is 20.3 SQ (handed out at the end of class).
2/23/16- 2nd Hipp- Checked and went over 20.1 GR from the other day (all had it). We then continued notes on 20.1, my students have these notes. Homework is 20.1 SQ, which they got at the end of class. Very little time to get started on it.
2/3/16- 2nd Hipp- Checked and went over 19.2 SQ that was assigned yesterday (all had it). We then began discussion and notes 19.3 (students have these notes already). Homework is 19.3 GR, students had a little bit of time to get it started. I walked around and helped where I could.
2/2/16- 2nd Hipp- Checked and went over 19.2 GR that was homework from yesterday (all had it done). I also gave my students 19.3 notes in advance so they are ready for it when we start going over it. Homework is 19.2 Section quiz, no time to work on this in class.
2/1/16- 2nd Hipp- Checked and went over 19.1 SQ (all had it). We then finished last slide of 19.1 notes and then went into 19.2 notes (I provided notes for my students). Homework is 19.2 GR, got it at the end of the period no time to work on it.
1/20/16- 2nd Hipp- Traded and graded the 17.2 worksheets that they had for homework (all had it done). We finished up the notes from 17.2 (already have those notes). We then began discussion and notes over 17.3 (I provided notes to my students). Homework is 17.3 GR, got at the end of the class.
1/19/16- 2nd Hipp- Notes and discussion over 17.2, students taking turns reading the chapter and following along with the notes as they go along (I provided notes to my students). Homework is 17.2 GR that they received at the end of class.
1/7/16- 2nd Hipp- Checked and went over 16.3 GR that they had for homework (all had it done to be graded). We then continued with our notes over 16.3 and then briefly started 16.4 (which I gave a copy of those notes to my students). Homework is 16.3 SQ that they received at the end of class.
1/6/16- 2nd Hipp- continued notes on 16.2 (students have the notes), and after we finished that we began to go through 16.3 (I provided notes to my students). Homework is 16.3 GR which students received with about 9 minutes left in class. They began it, but what is left is due for homework.
1/5/16- 2nd Hipp- notes and discussion over 16.2 (I gave notes to my students before the break). In class work is 16.2 GR, they had about 15 minutes to finish this in class. I walked around and helped students as they were filling it out.
12/14/15- 2nd Hipp- Passed back Ch. 15 test. All tests they have had are their study guides for the midterm. Traded and grade the 16.1 SQ that was for homework on Friday. Began section 2 notes over Ch. 16 (I have notes for the students they will get them tomorrow. Eventhough students have their old tests as study guides I printed off a smaller version so they can concentrate on certain things. Homework is 16.2 GR, 5 minutes to work on in class.
12/10/15- 2nd Hipp- We began notes and discussion over 16.1 (I provided notes to my students). Homework is 16.1 GR, students given about 10 minutes to get started on it.
12/9/15- 2nd Hipp- I pulled students to take their Ch. 15 test (Read aloud and modified).
12/8/15- 2nd Hipp- Checked and went over the 15.3 GR that students got for homework yesterday. All students had theirs completed but we are checking for accuracy today. Students stayed in class to play a review game for the test tomorrow.
12/7/15- 2nd Hipp- Continued notes and discussion over 15.3 (my students have their notes already). Students read along while taking notes. Homework is 15.3 GR, no time to work on this in class.
12/2/15- 2nd Hipp- Traded and graded the 15. 1 SQ from yesterday (all had it completed). We finished the 15.2 notes today and then got into 15.3 notes (I provided the notes to my students for 15.3 today). Homework is 15.2 GR that was given to the students 5 minutes before the bell rang and they had no time to work on this in class.
12/1/15- 2nd Hipp- Checked and went over 15.1 GR. We then continued to finish Ch. 15.1 notes and then got into the 15.2 notes (I provided notes to my students). Homework is 15.1 SQ that students got at the end of the period and had no time to work on it in class.
11/28/15- 2nd Hipp- We continued notes and discussion over 15.1 that we started on Tuesday before Thanksgiving Break. (I have already giving these notes to my students). Students took turns reading from the book and taking notes after they read a section. Homework is 15.1 GR, they got at the end of class so they had no time to work on it.
2nd Hipp- We finished the film today that we have been watching. They had a worksheet to fill out over the movie

11/10/15- 2nd Hipp- checked and went over GR 14.3. We watched a video over the Sepoy Mutiny. Continued notes and discussion over 14.3 and then got into a little bit of 14.4 (I gave notes to the students today). Homework is 14.3 SQ, had about 10 minutes to work on in class.
11/12/15- 2nd Hipp- We are going over Ch. 14.4 (I gave notes to my students) and as we were reading through the chapter students filled out some vocabulary terms as they went along.

10/6/15- 2nd Hipp- We took the rest of the SLO that we missed the first time. We then passed back the Ch. 11 test and went over it as a group. We then started discussion and notes on 12.1 (Mrs. Hipp gave them an outline of the notes). Homework is reteaching activity 12 and no time to work on this is class.
9/28/15- 2nd Hipp- Continued notes and discussion over 11.2 notes (I have already given to my students). Also began very brief introduction to 11.3 notes.They took a quiz over 11.2 at the end of the period, it was for completion.
9/29/15- 2nd Hipp- Continued notes and discussion over 11.3 (I still do not have copy of the notes, so as soon as I get them I will hand them out). Test is Thursday, I passed out the study guide today for them.
9/30/15- 2nd Hipp- I pulled students to 10.3 SQ (we reviewed before we took it). We then completed 10.3 GR as a group. We then reviewed a little bit for the test tomorrow.
9/22/15- 2nd Hipp- Watched video over Napoleon, students answered four questions about the movie as they watched, 1. Who was Napoleon, 2. How did he come to power, 3. How did he maintain his power, and 4. What was his downfall.

Students were then informally quizzed over the chapter as an initial review for the test that is coming up on Tuesday, students writing down study questions as they go to serve as a mini study guide.
11-2-16- 1st Lee- Continued with 13.3 notes and discussion. Students then had a 13.3 worksheet to start in class and anything left is homework. We finished about 1/2 in class
11-1-16- 1st Lee- Checked the question students had from last night and went over them. Students then had a couple of questions to answer in class and then we went over them in class as a group. We then began discussion and guided notes over 13.3.
10-31-16-1st Lee- Checked the Industrialization chart from Friday. We then went over the rest of that chart worksheet as a class. Students then were asked to answer 3 questions in class using their book: 1. Explain main idea of quote on pg. 420, 2. Explain multiple reasons why the birthrate declined as the 1800’s progressed, and 3. Compare the map on 423 to the map on 417, what relationships can you draw? Students were given about 20 minutes to get those done and then we discussed them in class. Homework is the a 4th question: What was a direct reason why mass media developed during the late 1800’? Some indirect reasons?
10-27-16- 1st Lee- Finished group work from yesterday in the first 5 minutes. Groups then reported back to us what they found for the questions they were assigned.
10-26-16- 1st Lee- Checked the rest of the worksheet over 419-421 reading. We then had group work over a few questions. Whatever is left is for homework.

5/24/16- 2nd Hipp- Pulled students to continue reviewing for their upcoming final exam. We went through old tests and what questions they need to study for the exam.
5/23/16- 2nd Hipp- Collected “Journeys with George” questions from the video we had watched (it is for extra credit). We then began getting materials together for their upcoming final exam. I pulled students to help them with this. They are getting tests, notes, and study guides together for them to study.
5/16/16- 2nd Hipp- Began project presentations over Middle East and African countries. Students also filled out a Peer Evaluation Sheet to rate their group members contribution to the group and the project. Got through 3 of them, will finish the rest tomorrow.

5/4/16- 2nd Hipp- I checked and went over 23.2 GR (all had it) We then continued notes for 23.2 and then students had time to work on 23.2 SQ that was assigned. I pulled students to work on this and we finished this in class.
5/3/16- 2nd Hipp- Continued notes on 23.2 (students have them). We then had time for 23.2 GR and I pulled students out to work on this and we finished it in class.
5/2/16- 2nd Hipp- I Checked and went over 23.1 SQ (all had it done). We then started 23.2 notes (I provided notes to my students).
3/15/16- 2nd Hipp- traded and grade 21.3 GR (all had it). We then finished 21.3 notes and then started 21.3 SQ which they had time to work on in class. I walked around and helped where needed. Homework is 21.4 GR, no time to work on in class.
3/14/16- 2nd Hipp- I checked and went over 21.2 SQ (all had it). Ms. Hipp then passed out Ch. 21 study guides (I will hand out mine closer to the test which is Friday). We then started notes and discussion over 21.3 (I provided notes to my students).

3/9/16- 2nd Hipp- I checked and went over 21.1 SQ (all had it). I also gave them the two maps they are to be working (one of former Soviet Union and one of current map of Europe). Students need to identify which country goes where, they can use any resource they have.

3/2/16- 2nd Hipp- I continued our web quest over the Cuban Missile Crisis. Students had about half of it to finish today and then we went over it as a class. Homework is ch. 20 content vocabulary worksheet that was given to them at the end of class.
3/1/16- 2nd- I led the lesson on webquest over Cuban Missile Crisis. Watched a short video on the crisis and then explained the webquest and how they should fill it out.
2/29/16- 2nd Hipp- TEST IS FRIDAY!! They received Ms. Hipp’s study guide (I will also provide mine in the past couple of days. Checked and went over 20.3 GR that was homework from Friday. We then continued notes and discussion over 20.3 (students already have their notes). Homework is 20.3 SQ (handed out at the end of class).

1/6/16- 2nd Hipp- continued notes on 16.2 (students have the notes), and after we finished that we began to go through 16.3 (I provided notes to my students). Homework is 16.3 GR which students received with about 9 minutes left in class. They began it, but what is left is due for homework.
1/5/16- 2nd Hipp- notes and discussion over 16.2 (I gave notes to my students before the break). In class work is 16.2 GR, they had about 15 minutes to finish this in class. I walked around and helped students as they were filling it out.
12/14/15- 2nd Hipp- Passed back Ch. 15 test. All tests they have had are their study guides for the midterm. Traded and grade the 16.1 SQ that was for homework on Friday. Began section 2 notes over Ch. 16 (I have notes for the students they will get them tomorrow. Eventhough students have their old tests as study guides I printed off a smaller version so they can concentrate on certain things. Homework is 16.2 GR, 5 minutes to work on in class.

11/28/15- 2nd Hipp- We continued notes and discussion over 15.1 that we started on Tuesday before Thanksgiving Break. (I have already giving these notes to my students). Students took turns reading from the book and taking notes after they read a section. Homework is 15.1 GR, they got at the end of class so they had no time to work on it.

10/14/15- 2nd Hipp- Checked and went over 12.3 section quiz that they had the other day. We then finished 12.3 notes, we then began 12.4 notes (handed out to them). I passed out Ch. 12 study guide out to my students. Test is Friday!
10/15/15- 2nd Hipp- Students took a quick 12.4 quiz (not for a grade). I then pulled student to review for their Ch. 12 test. (We went over MC/matching and short answer they will see). I gave them a study guide a couple of days ago.
10/6/15- 2nd Hipp- We took the rest of the SLO that we missed the first time. We then passed back the Ch. 11 test and went over it as a group. We then started discussion and notes on 12.1 (Mrs. Hipp gave them an outline of the notes). Homework is reteaching activity 12 and no time to work on this is class.
9/28/15- 2nd Hipp- Continued notes and discussion over 11.2 notes (I have already given to my students). Also began very brief introduction to 11.3 notes.They took a quiz over 11.2 at the end of the period, it was for completion.
9/29/15- 2nd Hipp- Continued notes and discussion over 11.3 (I still do not have copy of the notes, so as soon as I get them I will hand them out). Test is Thursday, I passed out the study guide today for them.
9/30/15- 2nd Hipp- I pulled students to 10.3 SQ (we reviewed before we took it). We then completed 10.3 GR as a group. We then reviewed a little bit for the test tomorrow.
9/22/15- 2nd Hipp- Watched video over Napoleon, students answered four questions about the movie as they watched, 1. Who was Napoleon, 2. How did he come to power, 3. How did he maintain his power, and 4. What was his downfall.
9/23/15- 2nd Hipp- Began notes and discussion on 11.1 (I provided notes to my students to follow along). They also went over answers to 11.1 GR
9/24/15- Began discussion and notes over 11.2. Homework is 11.2 GR that we began in class.
9/25/15- 2nd Hipp- Took the Pre-SLO. We passed in 2 worksheets they had for homework (Reteaching activity 11 and GR 11.2). We went over the 11.2 GR after everyone was finished with the Pre-SLO today.
9/14/15- 2nd Hipp- I pulled students to take a section 4 quiz, we reviewed and then went over it as a class. We reviewed 10.1 notes and I provided copies for my students of 10.1 and 10.2 notes.
9/15/15- 2nd Hipp- 10.1 section quiz (we reviewed before hand). We then went over these notes in class from section 10.2.
9/16/15- 2nd Hipp- continued notes from 10.2 and then went into 10.3 I made a study guide for them and gave it to them today. TEST IS FRIDAY.
9/17/15- 2nd Hipp- I pulled students out to review for their Ch. 10 test tomorrow. We went over some questions that they will see along with vocabulary and short answers.

9/10/15- 2nd Hipp- Pop quiz over what we talked about yesterday (not for a grade, just completion/participation). We continued reading and going over Sect. 4 of Ch. 10 GR as a class. Students filled in the GR as we went along in class. Ms. Hipp stopped and told them the answers as we went along.
9/3/15- 2nd WH- I pulled students out to work on pg. 317, 2-7. I then printed off notes for the section for them to put in their folders that will be collected on Friday.
