10-11-18- continued discussion and notes over the Articles of Confederation and the 2.3 GR students filled out. Constitutional Convention worksheet in class, most of the class period to work on this. Anything left is for homework.
4-10-18- 4th Pigman-Starting going over 12.3 GR over influences on court decisions. Students then had to go through some court cases and write how it affected or was affected by law, society, or justices opinions. I
4-9-18- 4th Pigman- Continued going over Ch. 12 GR that students got before we left for spring break. We specifically started talking about 12.2 on Shaping Policy.
3-27-18- 4th Pigman- Students are taking a practice 12.1 quiz in class and then we went over this together in class. We then started looking at section 2 of ch. 12.
3-26-18- 4th Pigman- We went over the 12.1 GR from Friday and look over the steps on hearing an appeal in the Supreme Court. Homework is to finish the other GR they got on Friday, no time to start this in class.
3-22-18- 4th Pigman- Students took their Ch.11 quiz today. After test they got GR for ch. 12 along with a Case brief. Case brief work is due tomorrow.
3-19-18- 4th Pigman- Checked and went over 11.3 GR from Friday. I passed out study guides for Ch. 11 today as there will be a test on Wed.
3-16-18- 4th Pigman- Students working on 11.3 GR in class.
3-15-18- Checked 11.2 GR that was assigned the other day and went over this as a class. Started discussing Morse v. Frederick.
3-14-18- 4th Pigman- Students got their Essays back today and we discussed some things about good/bad essays and the components to those. Homework is 11.2 GR. NO time to start this in class.
3-13-18- 4th Pigman- Students filling out registration sheets for ACT they will be taking next week. Took all period.
1-10-18- 4th Pigman- Checked the Ch. 5 worksheet from the other day. We then started to go over this together. Students have to take information from that sheet and put it into a t chart on back of worksheet for tomorrow.
1-9-18- 4th Pigman- Handed out sheet and discussed the Response Essay assignment due toward the end of the quarter. Students then got a Ch. 5 reteaching activity to do in class and for tomorrow. Students have to write those out by hand on the back side of reteaching activity.
12-12-17- 4th Pigman- students working in class on their Essays they got the other day over Civil Rights.
12-11-17- 4th Pigman- Continued notes, discussion and video over Civil Rights. Homework is a couple short answer responses in regards to civil rights and the notes that they took while watching the video. Due by Wed.

11-30-17- 4th Pigman- Watched AP news minute from the last couple of days along with discussing some current events. We then went over a case study (Brown v. Board of Education) they got the other day to go over in class.

10-31-17-4th Pigman- Checked 3.3 GR and the response paragraphs from the other day. Also checked 3.2 GR. Did amendments dance in class. Amendments quiz tomorrow, students already have a study guide over what all the amendments are.
10-30-17- 4th Pigman- Students received 3.3 notes, they also had a 3.3 GR to do in class along with a google classroom assignment to do.
10-27-17- 4th Pigman- Quick review over 7 articles of the constitution. Going over 3.2 GR an 3.2 notes that were handed out earlier in the week.

9-20-17- 4th Pigman- Checked the questons on the back of the notes from the other day. We then went over this to some degree in class together. Worksheets over John Locke and Montesquieu given at the end of class, due tomorrow.
9-19-17 4th Pigman- Checked and went over the 2.1 GR from the other day. We then started going over 2.2 notes that students got the other day in class.

9-18-17- 4th Pigman- passed back and went over tests from Friday. We then started notes and discussion over 2.1, students also got a 2.1 GR that was worked on a little in class but if not finished will be due tomorrow. We kind of worked on the GR together to get started.
5-12-17- 6th Pigman- Checked and went over Establishment Clause worksheet from the other day.
5-9-17- 6th Pigman- Going over a video about the establishment clause and religion based on the Bill of Rights. Students filling out a worksheet that goes along with the video. We answered the questions together so everyone had what they needed to.
5-8-17- 6th Pigman- Mock Crash outside
5-5-17- 6th pigman- Checked and went over the goodle classroom assignment from the other day. We then looked into some more readings on the Establishment Clause. Students got a packet over the Establishment Clause and had to identify the court cases in it and write a brief description on them along with do 6 vocabulary terms. Students had about 10-15 minutes to get started on this
5-4-17- 6th Pigman- expression quiz. They also had a homework assignment on google classroom to do and we did that after the quiz.
5-3-17- 6th Pigman-Watched a video “The Bill of Rights for Real Life”. Students answered some questions as they went along that seved as notes for them. They got an expression quiz study guide for their quiz tomorrow. It will not be graded.
5-2-17- 6th Pigman- Post SLO Assessment.
5-1-17- 6th Pigman- Checked and went over expression reading questions from Friday. We then spent then rest of class going over different things in regard to this assignment.
4-26-17- 6th Pigman- Class discussion over the limits on Free Speech. Homework is to look at the case Tinker v. Des Moines and be ready to talk about it tomorrow. Also write a brief conclusion at the bottom of the case.
4-25-17- 6th Pigman- Mayor was in to talk to students
4-24-17- 6th Pigman- Discussed their gov’t response essays they wrote over spring break. They then were working on questions for the mayor visit tomorrow.
4-11-17- 6th Pigman- EOC Testing
4-10-17- 6th Pigman- Continued to review the practice tests students took in class last week as review for the EOC. We then quickly made a study guide over the Ohio and US Constitution for the EOC test.
4-6-17- 6th Pigman- Checked the practice test that students were supposed to do at the end of the class the other day. We then started going over the Ohio Constitutions from 1802 and 1851. Students made a T chart comparing the 2 and also watched a video supplementing the learning
4-4-17- 6th- Open note practice test over Ch. 12. Students taking it and then we are going over it in class. They then went over some things they will see on EOC exam. Students took a practice one online toward the end of class.
3-31-17- 6th Pigman- Going over 12.3 GR that students have had done for a couple of days. We also went over Case brief Brown v. Board of Education verbally as a class and went through the things that they would be expected to include in a case brief they will have to do in the future. Students then had to right out the case brief format for Brown v. Board of Education which is due Tuesday.
3-29-17- 6th Pigman- Checked the casebriefs from the other day. Homework is to highlight the Brown v. Board of Education case brief students got the other day.
3-28-17- 6th Pigman- Students are working on 12.2 and 12.3 GR/SQ. Students finished these in class and then we began going over these in class to make sure students have the correct information.
3-24-17- 6th Pigman- Checked 12.1 GR. We then went over this as a class. Did a practice quiz over 12.1 after done with discussion but not for a grade.
3-23-17- 6th Pigman- Continued on case brief and the Lily Ledbetter case. Homework passed out at the end of class is 12.1 GR. No time to start in class.
3-22-17- 6th Pigman- Passed back and went over Ch. 11 test from last week. We then began going over how to do a Case brief, we did this verbally in class so students get an idea of how to do it.
3-20-17- 6th Pigman- Received information today over a case brief and the directions of how to do one as that will be an assignment coming up during this quarter. Watched a video over Lily Ledbetter case.

3-16-17- 6th Pigman- work on their Ch. 11 study guide for the test tomorrow. They also have to turn in Gov’t Response outline tomorrow.

2-22-17- 6th Pigman- Checked the 10.2 notes they did for homework last night. Watched a couple of videos over the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
2-21-17- 6th Pigman- Checked the 2 pages of notes 10.1 from Friday. We then started going through those notes as a class. 10.2 part of notes due tomorrow.
2-17-17- 6th Pigman- Checked and went over cabinet search website. We then went over 10.1 GR together that tied together with the different cabinets. They then received guided notes for Ch. 10. 1st 2 pages of the notes which is 10.1 for homework, due on Tuesday of next week.
2-16-17- 6th Pigman- Students turning in their LBJ/Civil rights paper. Work in class is a cabinet search worksheet, students had some time to work on this in class.

1-31-17- 6th Pigman- Checked and went over 9.2 GR from yesterday. They also got a leadership compass activity in class to work on as we checked the homework. For this activity they got into groups according to what they thought their leadership style was and began answering questions in regards to that.
1-30-17- 6th Pigman- Review of amendments as prep for upcoming state tests. Handed out 9.1 notes for students and began going over this in class. Students got a 9.2 GR towards the end of class.
1-26-17-6th Pigman- a little bit more discussion over how a bill becomes a law and some terms that come along with it they will see tomorrow in their Ch. 7 quiz. We took the time today to review for their Ch. 7 quiz that will be tomorrow.

5/2/16- 1st Pigman- Test/quiz over Freedom of expression notes/discussion they have been looking at over the past week or so. After quiz they had work to do on packet they received on Friday.

AP article up on google classroom over 17 year olds voting going on right now, students have to read the article and then give their opinion on this topic, they had about 15 minutes in class to finish this up and then we went over it.
3/11/16- 1st Pigman- Students took their Ch. 10 test. After their test they got some Ch. 11 materials that are due on Monday.

3/8/16- 1st Pigman- Took a short quiz over what we watched and discussed yesterday. We then continued going over Ch. 10 notes students filled out on Friday.
3/7/16- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over Ch. 10 guided notes students were to fill out. We then began discussion and watched a video over bureaucracies which were a part of their guided notes they filled in for homework today.

3/1/16- 1st Pigman- Continued our discussion from yesterday over role of gov’t in society. Watched a video over role of gov’t in society. We saw two different sides of the argument, 1 for bigger gov’t and 1 for less gov’t

2/3/16- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over the homework from last night. Watched a video over white house briefing. They then got a worksheet over entire Ch. 8 which we have been going over for the past week. Had about 10 minutes to get this started.
2/2/16- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over 8.3 GR that was given out yesterday. Homework is 8.4 GR and also writing down 15 cabinet members in presidents cabinet. Had about 10 minutes to work on this in class.
1/21/16- 1st Pigman- Review of the 7.1 flow chart on the US gov’t. We then got into notes and discussion over How Bills Become Laws. Passed out 7.3 GR that we completed together in class.
1/20/16- 1st Pigman- Members of the police department came in to talk to the students today.
1/19/16- 1st Pigman- They had a 7.1 assignment from Friday. Going over how a Bill becomes a law.
1/7/16- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over 6.2 GR from yesterday (all had it). We then went over the 6.2 and 6.3 notes that the students have a copy of. Homework was 6.3 GR/Quiz
1/6/16 1st Pigman- Went over the GR from yesterday along with going over the notes handed out yesterday.
1/5/16- 1st Pigman- Just a quick review over gov’t meeting assignment from 1st semester and the expectations for them. Handed out notes over the Legislative branch for Ch. 6. Homework is GR 6.1, little time to start in class but not much. Due tomorrow.
12/14/15- 1st Pigman- Went over Ch. 5 study guide that they had last week.
12/10/15- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over homework from yesterday. Students received 2 worksheets over Committees in Congress 5.4 and 5.5 and another one where they will research representatives for OHIO (this one is not due tomorrow but they can get started on it and they had about 20 minutes in class to work on it.
12/9/15- 1st Pigman- Passed out 5.1 worksheet dealing mostly with congress and we filled it out together in class. Students then received a reteaching activity on the house and senate that they had time to work on in class.
12/8/15- 1st Pigman- Went over and discussed the Ohio constitution worksheets they did a couple of days ago.
12/7/15- 1st Pigman- Went over and got a grade for the Ohio Constitution worksheet students got last week. We went over certain parts of it as a class.
12/2/15- 1st Pigman- Students took their Ch. 4 quiz today.

11/28/15- 1st Pigman- Went over rough drafts of gov’t essay. They then received a Ch. 4 Study guide that they had the rest of the class time to work on in class, I checked and students were using her book to help her fill it out.
11/23/15- 1st Pigman- Students had all class period to work on their gov’t response outlines and paper.
11/19/15- 1st Pigman- Went over court cases that were assigned yesterday and assignment that went with it. We then went over each one individually. They got a reading more in depth on Brown v. Board of Education in which each sections have questions that they have to answer. They did not have time to start this in class.
11/18/15 1st Pigman- students working on short essays over court cases we have been going over. After they are done they have to work on their Gov. response essay. I helped Emma and Samson if they needed it.
11/17/15- 1st Pigman- Students going over the court case Dred Scott v. Sandford 1857 and taking notes as they went along.

11/6/15- 1st Pigman- Started class by taking short quiz over Ledbetter video we watched over the past couple of days. Students stayed in class to take this. After that students read over their gov’t response essay that they will be working on for the end of Nov. Continued notes and discussion over 4.2 on Interstate compacts. Then passed out 4.3 notes for the students, students are to look over and read over these. Homework is questions over 4.3 and 4.4
11/5/15- 1st Pigman- Continue notes and discussion over 4.2. All have guided notes to follow along. Took a short little quiz over notes cause students weren’t participating and following along, (not for a grade)
11/4/15- 1st Pigman- Checked the 4.2 GR that they had for homework yesterday. We then had a little discussion over election and results from last night.
11/3/15- 1st Pigman- Continued discussion and notes on Lilly Ledbetter video over wage discrimination. After the video they took a quick 10 question quiz over the video to make sure they were paying attention. Passed out notes on federalism in ch. 4.2 for the kids to follow along. Homework is 4.2 GR that they received with about 5 minutes left.
11/2/15- 1st Pigman- Starting to talk about the gov’t response essay that they will have due towards the end of Nov. Video over “The Constitution Project, a Call to Act”, students taking notes as they go.
10/26/15- 1st Pigman- With the election coming up, we had a discussion on congressional districts and who outlines the voting districts. Then began to get back into the Constitution, specifically article 5. Worksheet passed out was 3.3 GR (about 7 minutes to get it started, I helped where needed.)
10/19/15- 1st Pigman- Discussion on 3.2 on articles of constitution and the type of powers that are in there.
10/20/15- 1st Pigman- Played around the world on Articles 1,2,3 in the Constitution. Had to win one round to get participation points.
10/22/15-1st Pigman- Went over 2 assignments that are on google classroom. One is creating 10 questions based on Mayoral debate, other is amendments and why they were passed. Had class period to work on this today and I helped where needed.
10/13/15- 1st Pigman- I pulled kids out to take the quiz over the Federalist #1 paper. After the quiz they had GR 3.1 and 3.2 to work on and also were given the 3.2 notes.
10/14/15- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over 3.1 and 3.2 GR. Homework is to write the preamble onto the notes that they were given yesterday.
10/15/15- 1st Pigman- Continued discussion over Preamble and notes over 3.1 and 3.2 (students have the notes).
10/6/15- 1st Pigman- Checked homework (vocabulary) from last night (all had it) from a reading in class over Federalist paper #1 they read last night. In class they separated and each group took a paragraph and interpreted what that paragraph meant.
9/28/15- 1st Pigman- Students have a study guide that was passed out on Friday that they have to do (due tomorrow and test is tomorrow as well). Continued over 2.4 notes that Mr. Pigman handed out on Friday, they are typed out for the students.
9/29/15- 1st Pigman- Took students out to take their Ch. 2 test (We reviewed beforehand.)
9/30/15- 1st Pigman- Checked the study guide from last week. Passed out worksheet over the debate to ratify the constitution, graphic organizer at end of the reading for them to fill out on why federalist were for it and anti-fed were against it. Students had some class time to work on this and finish it up in class.
9/22/15-1st Pigman- Discussion over primary documents in back of the book, had questions to answer and interpret the document.
9/23/15- 1st Pigman- Mr. Pigman is not here so they are working on a worksheet over Constitutional Conventions. I pulled students out to work on this
9/24/15- Went over worksheets from past couple of days GR 2.3 and Constitutional convention worksheet.
9/25/15- 1st Pigman- Samson absent. Continued discussion over Constitutional convention. Handed out 2.4 notes and went through that as a class. Passed out study guide for test at the end of the period. It will be due Tuesday.
9/14/15- 1st Pigman- Students took Ch. 1 test. We then began notes and discussion on left and right in terms of gov’t.
9/15/15- 1st Pigman- We had discussion on the Right and Left side of government that we started yesterday. Assignment was political compass assignment on moodle and google classroom.
9/16/15- 1st Pigman- We reviewed the test we took a couple of days ago to make sure they had the right answers from the ones that they missed. We then began discussion on the political compass assignment that they had yesterday. Tomorrow they need to have a paragraph describing what they have found out about who they are politically based on what we have done in class.
9/17/15- 1st Pigman- Checked over the paragraph on their political view from yesterday. We then began discussion on the Constitution as it is constitution day. Passed out 2.1 GR and went through this as a class with the time remaining, rest of it is homework.

9/10/15- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over 1.2 and 1.3 GR that they did the day that I was not here. Passed out a blank test as a study guide for students to fill out as review. (no time in class to work on this).

5-3-17- 6th Pigman-Watched a video “The Bill of Rights for Real Life”. Students answered some questions as they went along that seved as notes for them. They got an expression quiz study guide for their quiz tomorrow. It will not be graded.

4-10-17- 6th Pigman- Continued to review the practice tests students took in class last week as review for the EOC. We then quickly made a study guide over the Ohio and US Constitution for the EOC test.
4-6-17- 6th Pigman- Checked the practice test that students were supposed to do at the end of the class the other day. We then started going over the Ohio Constitutions from 1802 and 1851. Students made a T chart comparing the 2 and also watched a video supplementing the learning
4-4-17- 6th- Open note practice test over Ch. 12. Students taking it and then we are going over it in class. They then went over some things they will see on EOC exam. Students took a practice one online toward the end of class.
3-31-17- 6th Pigman- Going over 12.3 GR that students have had done for a couple of days. We also went over Case brief Brown v. Board of Education verbally as a class and went through the things that they would be expected to include in a case brief they will have to do in the future. Students then had to right out the case brief format for Brown v. Board of Education which is due Tuesday.

9-26-16- 6th Pigman- Students took an impromptu quiz over articles of the constitution ( word banks on paper for students). Started notes and discussion over 2.1. Two in class assignments draw a timeline of Historical Documents and complete GR 2.1. These served as their notes for the section.

5/2/16- 1st Pigman- Test/quiz over Freedom of expression notes/discussion they have been looking at over the past week or so. After quiz they had work to do on packet they received on Friday.
3/15/16- 1st Pigman- continued notes and discussion over 11.1. 11.2 will be tomorrow.
3/14/16- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over 11.1 they got after the test on Friday. AP article up on google classroom over 17 year olds voting going on right now, students have to read the article and then give their opinion on this topic, they had about 15 minutes in class to finish this up and then we went over it.
3/11/16- 1st Pigman- Students took their Ch. 10 test. After their test they got some Ch. 11 materials that are due on Monday.
3/10/16- 1st Pigman- Went over and discussed Ch. 10 study guide. Homework is Ch. 10 vocabulary. TEST is tomorrow.
3/9/16- 1st Pigman- Watched a video over Social Security and what it is and the track it is on. Continued with notes and discussion over 10.3 notes that the students have. We then got a Ch. 10 review guide that is due tomorrow, the test over Ch. 10 will be on Friday.
3/8/16- 1st Pigman- Took a short quiz over what we watched and discussed yesterday. We then continued going over Ch. 10 notes students filled out on Friday.
3/7/16- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over Ch. 10 guided notes students were to fill out. We then began discussion and watched a video over bureaucracies which were a part of their guided notes they filled in for homework today.
3/4/16- 1st Pigman- Students worked on filling out the 10.2 and 10.3 guided notes
3/3/16- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over cabinet search worksheet they had for homework. 10.2 guided notes is due for homework tomorrow (no time to work on this in class.
3/2/16- 1st Pigman- checked and went over 10.1 notes . Assignment is a worksheet where students choose a department in the white house to look at more closely. They have questions to answer on the worksheet regarding the department they choose.
3/1/16- 1st Pigman- Continued our discussion from yesterday over role of gov’t in society. Watched a video over role of gov’t in society. We saw two different sides of the argument, 1 for bigger gov’t and 1 for less gov’t

2/3/16- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over the homework from last night. Watched a video over white house briefing. They then got a worksheet over entire Ch. 8 which we have been going over for the past week. Had about 10 minutes to get this started.
2/2/16- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over 8.3 GR that was given out yesterday. Homework is 8.4 GR and also writing down 15 cabinet members in presidents cabinet. Had about 10 minutes to work on this in class.
1/21/16- 1st Pigman- Review of the 7.1 flow chart on the US gov’t. We then got into notes and discussion over How Bills Become Laws. Passed out 7.3 GR that we completed together in class.
1/20/16- 1st Pigman- Members of the police department came in to talk to the students today.
1/19/16- 1st Pigman- They had a 7.1 assignment from Friday. Going over how a Bill becomes a law.
1/7/16- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over 6.2 GR from yesterday (all had it). We then went over the 6.2 and 6.3 notes that the students have a copy of. Homework was 6.3 GR/Quiz
1/6/16 1st Pigman- Went over the GR from yesterday along with going over the notes handed out yesterday.
1/5/16- 1st Pigman- Just a quick review over gov’t meeting assignment from 1st semester and the expectations for them. Handed out notes over the Legislative branch for Ch. 6. Homework is GR 6.1, little time to start in class but not much. Due tomorrow.
12/14/15- 1st Pigman- Went over Ch. 5 study guide that they had last week.
12/10/15- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over homework from yesterday. Students received 2 worksheets over Committees in Congress 5.4 and 5.5 and another one where they will research representatives for OHIO (this one is not due tomorrow but they can get started on it and they had about 20 minutes in class to work on it.
12/9/15- 1st Pigman- Passed out 5.1 worksheet dealing mostly with congress and we filled it out together in class. Students then received a reteaching activity on the house and senate that they had time to work on in class.
12/8/15- 1st Pigman- Went over and discussed the Ohio constitution worksheets they did a couple of days ago.
12/7/15- 1st Pigman- Went over and got a grade for the Ohio Constitution worksheet students got last week. We went over certain parts of it as a class.
12/2/15- 1st Pigman- Students took their Ch. 4 quiz today.
12/1/15- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over the Ch. 4 review guide they worked on yesterday.
11/28/15- 1st Pigman- Went over rough drafts of gov’t essay. They then received a Ch. 4 Study guide that they had the rest of the class time to work on in class, I checked and students were using her book to help her fill it out.
11/23/15- 1st Pigman- Students had all class period to work on their gov’t response outlines and paper.
11/19/15- 1st Pigman- Went over court cases that were assigned yesterday and assignment that went with it. We then went over each one individually. They got a reading more in depth on Brown v. Board of Education in which each sections have questions that they have to answer. They did not have time to start this in class.
11/18/15 1st Pigman- students working on short essays over court cases we have been going over. After they are done they have to work on their Gov. response essay. I helped Emma and Samson if they needed it.
11/17/15- 1st Pigman- Students going over the court case Dred Scott v. Sandford 1857 and taking notes as they went along.
11/16/15- 1st Pigman- Notes/discussion over court cases from Friday.
11/11/15- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over the 4.4 GR that was an assignment yesterday.

11/6/15- 1st Pigman- Started class by taking short quiz over Ledbetter video we watched over the past couple of days. Students stayed in class to take this. After that students read over their gov’t response essay that they will be working on for the end of Nov. Continued notes and discussion over 4.2 on Interstate compacts. Then passed out 4.3 notes for the students, students are to look over and read over these. Homework is questions over 4.3 and 4.4
11/5/15- 1st Pigman- Continue notes and discussion over 4.2. All have guided notes to follow along. Took a short little quiz over notes cause students weren’t participating and following along, (not for a grade)
11/4/15- 1st Pigman- Checked the 4.2 GR that they had for homework yesterday. We then had a little discussion over election and results from last night.
11/3/15- 1st Pigman- Continued discussion and notes on Lilly Ledbetter video over wage discrimination. After the video they took a quick 10 question quiz over the video to make sure they were paying attention. Passed out notes on federalism in ch. 4.2 for the kids to follow along. Homework is 4.2 GR that they received with about 5 minutes left.
11/2/15- 1st Pigman- Starting to talk about the gov’t response essay that they will have due towards the end of Nov. Video over “The Constitution Project, a Call to Act”, students taking notes as they go.
10/26/15- 1st Pigman- With the election coming up, we had a discussion on congressional districts and who outlines the voting districts. Then began to get back into the Constitution, specifically article 5. Worksheet passed out was 3.3 GR (about 7 minutes to get it started, I helped where needed.)
10/19/15- 1st Pigman- Discussion on 3.2 on articles of constitution and the type of powers that are in there.
10/20/15- 1st Pigman- Played around the world on Articles 1,2,3 in the Constitution. Had to win one round to get participation points.
10/22/15-1st Pigman- Went over 2 assignments that are on google classroom. One is creating 10 questions based on Mayoral debate, other is amendments and why they were passed. Had class period to work on this today and I helped where needed.
10/13/15- 1st Pigman- I pulled kids out to take the quiz over the Federalist #1 paper. After the quiz they had GR 3.1 and 3.2 to work on and also were given the 3.2 notes.
10/14/15- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over 3.1 and 3.2 GR. Homework is to write the preamble onto the notes that they were given yesterday.
10/15/15- 1st Pigman- Continued discussion over Preamble and notes over 3.1 and 3.2 (students have the notes).
10/6/15- 1st Pigman- Checked homework (vocabulary) from last night (all had it) from a reading in class over Federalist paper #1 they read last night. In class they separated and each group took a paragraph and interpreted what that paragraph meant.
9/28/15- 1st Pigman- Students have a study guide that was passed out on Friday that they have to do (due tomorrow and test is tomorrow as well). Continued over 2.4 notes that Mr. Pigman handed out on Friday, they are typed out for the students.
9/29/15- 1st Pigman- Took students out to take their Ch. 2 test (We reviewed beforehand.)
9/30/15- 1st Pigman- Checked the study guide from last week. Passed out worksheet over the debate to ratify the constitution, graphic organizer at end of the reading for them to fill out on why federalist were for it and anti-fed were against it. Students had some class time to work on this and finish it up in class.
9/22/15-1st Pigman- Discussion over primary documents in back of the book, had questions to answer and interpret the document.
9/23/15- 1st Pigman- Mr. Pigman is not here so they are working on a worksheet over Constitutional Conventions. I pulled students out to work on this
9/24/15- Went over worksheets from past couple of days GR 2.3 and Constitutional convention worksheet.
9/25/15- 1st Pigman- Samson absent. Continued discussion over Constitutional convention. Handed out 2.4 notes and went through that as a class. Passed out study guide for test at the end of the period. It will be due Tuesday.
9/14/15- 1st Pigman- Students took Ch. 1 test. We then began notes and discussion on left and right in terms of gov’t.
9/15/15- 1st Pigman- We had discussion on the Right and Left side of government that we started yesterday. Assignment was political compass assignment on moodle and google classroom.
9/16/15- 1st Pigman- We reviewed the test we took a couple of days ago to make sure they had the right answers from the ones that they missed. We then began discussion on the political compass assignment that they had yesterday. Tomorrow they need to have a paragraph describing what they have found out about who they are politically based on what we have done in class.
9/17/15- 1st Pigman- Checked over the paragraph on their political view from yesterday. We then began discussion on the Constitution as it is constitution day. Passed out 2.1 GR and went through this as a class with the time remaining, rest of it is homework.
9/9/15- 1st Pigman- students took the Pre-SLO assessment.
9/10/15- 1st Pigman- Checked and went over 1.2 and 1.3 GR that they did the day that I was not here. Passed out a blank test as a study guide for students to fill out as review. (no time in class to work on this).
